The film premiere of Dmitry Krymov's acclaimed production for the Latvian National Theatre — one screening only.
What happens to an artist who refuses to grow up? Krymov takes the story of Peter Pan and turns it into a strange, funny and piercing tragicomedy about theatre, freedom, ageing and the struggle to keep the child within alive. His signature visual poetry, eccentric physical comedy and bittersweet irony make it a performance that is both hilarious and deeply moving.
The production premiered at the Latvian National Theatre in February 2024. It was Krymov's debut on the Latvian stage and the theatre's most ambitious production to date. Egons Dombrovskis, who plays Peter Pan, won the audience award for Actor of the Year at Latvia's Spēlmaņu nakts theatre awards.
