Alexander ‘The Hurricane’ Beets is one of Europe’s leading jazz saxophonists and a powerhouse on stage. Known for his commanding sound and virtuosic playing, Alexander has captivated jazz audiences worldwide. His performances blend traditional swing with modern influences, creating an explosive mix of technique, emotion, and unmistakable groove.
Born into a musical family—his brothers Peter and Marius Beets are also renowned musicians—Alexander developed a passion for jazz at a young age. As a tenor saxophonist, he is often compared to legends like Dexter Gordon and Gene Ammons, while maintaining a style that is entirely his own.
In addition to his performing career, Alexander is a dedicated jazz advocate and organizer of festivals, including the prestigious Amersfoort World Jazz Festival. He is deeply committed to promoting jazz as an art form, collaborating with both emerging talents and international icons.

Steeped in the tradition of John Coltrane ,Deniss Pashkevich is a leading Latvian flautist & saxophonist.
His sound has penetrated all the major festivals in the Baltics and Scandanavia such as Pori Jazz, Klaipeda Jazz, Rigas Ritmi, Birstonas Jazz, Jazz Kaar, Jazz Globus in Israel, Quasimodo Jazz Club in Berlin, Fasching Jazz club in Stockholm and Akwarium Jazzarium in Warsaw, Jazz House in Copenhagen and Music Village in Brussels
In 2008 he performed as soloist with Latvian National Chamber Orchestra.
