Tour operator ALIDA TŪRS has opened a new office in the center of Riga
On September 5, the travel company ALIDA TŪRS gathered friends to celebrate the grand opening of its office in the center of Riga, at 6 Blaumaņa Street.
ALIDA TŪRS is Latvia’s first tour operator. The company has been operating since 1996 and will celebrate its 30th anniversary next year. ALIDA TŪRS began its activity with charter flights to Spain and later added Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and other destinations.
The company’s founder, Arno Ter-Saakov, has always strived for new summits – both in business and in life. In 2019, he climbed Mount Everest, and in 2023 – K2, the most dangerous mountain on the planet. Arno became the first Latvian to reach its peak. Today, the flags of Latvia and ALIDA TŪRS wave proudly on 11 of the world’s summits – from Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua to Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn.
“I wish ALIDA TŪRS success, growth, smiles, and prosperity!” said Arno Ter-Saakov at the event. “And special thanks for supporting my climbs. I am confident that many more mountain peaks will soon be adorned with the ALIDA TŪRS flag!”
Since last year, ALIDA TŪRS has been owned by Yulia Rimlina, one of the leading entrepreneurs in the Latvian travel industry. She founded the company Atlantic Travel, is a member of the board of the ALTA association, and in 2024 was awarded the title “Tourism Person of the Year.”
“It is an honor for me to take on the leadership of one of the most experienced travel companies in Latvia. I am grateful to Arno Ter-Saakov for his trust – for choosing me and my team as his successors,” said Yulia Rimlina at the opening.
Today, ALIDA TŪRS is a company with a new and convenient online travel store. At alida.lv, travelers can find tours from all of Latvia’s leading operators, as well as ALIDA TŪRS’ own signature itineraries: Mallorca and Alicante in summer, Tenerife and Andorra in winter.
“ALIDA TŪRS is keeping up with the times and will continue to do so. But we will certainly preserve one of the company’s core values – live human connection between people who love to travel and our experienced consultants.
Communication is priceless, and no modern technology can replace it. That is why I warmly invite everyone to the new cozy home of ALIDA TŪRS!”, said Yulia Rimlina.
