Iesmi Bistro (Skewers Bistro)

Easy going budget self service bistro by one of top ten Latvian chefs, Mārtiņš Sirmais. Iesmi serves coal grilled home marinated mainly meat skewers (called shashlik in ex-soviet region) within sets including flat bread, homemade sauces, home-pickled and tempura veggies, miso soup, home made hummus to cover all nutrients you need. Sets vary around €11 and represent Mārtiņš twist on different cuisine meat preparation from kebab to steak; Greek, Georgian, Latvian, Japanese etc, also chef mix to try em all. Also shrimp and veggie sets. Grilled on the open kitchen, served fast. Stylish place is packed-full with locals.
