Concert performance for children. Princess on a pea

"Long ago there was a prince who wanted a real princess for his wife, but how to find one?" So begins one of Hans Christian Andersen's best-known fairy tales, which is the basis for the musical performance "The Princess on a Pea". The show is set in a fairytale castle, where the characters of the story, dressed in sumptuous costumes, play and sing the music of French Baroque music masters Marc-Antoine Charpentier and Jean-Baptiste Lully on ancient musical instruments in sonorous voices.

The performance will be embellished with many vivid characters - a prince, a princess, a queen, sleeping gnomes and mice, even a pea and bedmakers. The roles will be played by vocalists, dancers and musicians - professional artists and students of the Riga Cathedral Choir School, Freska Ballet Studio and Vendija Dance School. The special atmosphere of Rundāle Palace and its beautiful palace gardens will make every spectator feel like part of a fairy tale. Before the performance, young visitors will have the opportunity to take part in creative workshops.

Tickets are required for children from 1 year of age.
