Georgia Cécile has won UK Jazz Act Of The Year and Jazz FM's 2022 Vocalist Of The Year Award: "She is currently at the crest of a new wave of British crossover artists. She has the rare ability to move audiences wherever she performs with her unique vocal timbre and the emotional depth of her singing."
Her debut album Only the Lover Sings (2021) topped the UK jazz and blues charts and was named Best Album at the Jazz Awards' 2021. BBC Radio praised the recording, noting that it "has timeless values, drawing inspiration from the great 20th-century popular musicians like Duke Ellington and Stevie Wonder." Georgia Cecil has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the SXSW Festival in Austin, major jazz festivals in the UK and on television with the BBC Concert Orchestra.
