Fashion design students of the Art Academy of Latvia (LMA) invite you to the most exciting fashion event of the year - the annual LMA Fashion Show, which will take place on 22 May at 20.00 at Riga Film Studio, Šmerļa iela 3, Riga.
The first tickets are available at a special discounted price. From 1 April the ticket price will increase.
This evening will be a unique opportunity for the audience to discover the boldest visions and most creative experiments of the young designers. This year's motto - "I AM FASHION" - will highlight individuality, self-expression and fashion as a manifestation of personality.
"I AM FASHION" means that I am more than just clothes - I am a way of life, a way of thinking and expressing myself. I am both an invitation and a challenge - to explore, discover and redefine myself. I am art and design that lives, breathes and changes with the times!
"The LMA Fashion Show is an important event in Latvian fashion life, and this year it will take place in a special place - the Riga Film Studio. This format will create a unique atmosphere that will highlight the work of young fashion designers, while linking fashion with cinema and visual storytelling," says Agnese Narņicka, Head of the Department of Fashion Design.
This year, at least 20 collections by young designers from bachelor and master programmes will be presented.
The event programme:
19:00 - Arrival, gathering of guests
20:00 - Fashion show, awards, speeches
22:30 - Informal talks, relaxation in the garden and bar area
Please note that no animals of any kind are allowed on the premises.
The LMA Fashion Show is one of the most prominent and important events in the Latvian fashion and design scene, bringing together young talents and creative industry professionals. This year, the show will take place for the 32nd time, and for the fourth year in a row it has been recognised as a nationally significant cultural event.

The LMA Fashion Show traditionally opens the annual LMA Design Days - a broad cycle of events that also includes an exhibition of the Design Department. It will take place from 6 June, presenting the diploma theses and major projects of all Design Department students.
During the exhibition period, lectures by international and local guest speakers, workshops and award ceremonies will take place. Design Days have been held since 2007 and are organised by the Design Department of the LMA.
