The Latvian musical association KALNEJAS and the Swiss folk group ROWAN invite you to the closing concert of the Latvian mini tour at M/Darbnīca. Both groups are releasing new albums this summer and performing in a joint concert series.
This concert marks the end of the mini tour in Latvia, while for the group KALNEJAS it will also be the presentation evening of the album "Lejas II / Lejas III" in Riga.

KALNEJAS is a Latvian musical group whose work combines traditional folk songs with contemporary minimalism, jazz elements and singer-songwriter traditions. The group's compositions feature both original texts and motifs from the Song Cabinet, creating a deeply personal and at the same time collective sound. The mini-album "Lejas I" was released in 2020, followed this summer by "Lejas II" and "Lejas III" — the conclusion of the creative cycle and the beginning of a new soundscape.

ROWAN is a folk band from Switzerland that combines elements of Celtic folklore with a modern sound. Their music features stories of northern landscapes and mythological creatures, presented in a playful but nuanced way. The band's new album "Picking Berries" will be released in June 2025, and the Baltic-Switzerland tour marks its release.
