Young musical talents of Latvia
These talented young people come from the region of Ogre and all of Latvia, and from their playing instruments and clear voices the listeners can recognize the bright pearls of the future of the performing arts culture. They are at the beginning of their creative path, studying in music high school or have just graduated this year, but even lilies open most beautifully when the sun shines on them, they make us happy by looking up! Our children today are the future of tomorrow of the Latvian culture, the operetta and musical theater. That is why the 4th International Operetta festival in Ikšķile will be opened by the young talents as a proof of endless development, growth and faith in the future:

The concert is free of charge, a ticket, any kind of entrance card or pre-registration is not necessary. Everybody is welcome to come to the concert, as well as to support the young talents and future artists!

The musical conversation over a cup of coffee promises to be an exciting whirlwind of art in a special, personal atmosphere, where sparkling music and roaring questions about and around the diversity of musical theater will mix. So that the evening will be like a meeting with a good friend for all of us, we will take care not only of moments of auditory pleasure, which the very name of the concert already promises.

3D Superheroes in MusicI Program for children up to 12.
The program for children up to 12 will be an exciting exploratory virtual reality journey, which children will be able to watch with 360° 3D glasses, virtually entering the Wild West and behind the scenes of the theater, as well as learning about the adventures of their new friends.Various creative activities and surprises await children as well.
When the world-famous dreamer Jules Verne created the novel "Around the Globe in 80 Days", he must have thought it would be unbeatable. And so it is - the work is brilliant and unsurpassed. But even in his dreams, Mr. Gilles had no idea how dynamically the world would change: one click of a computer button, and you, a human child, already have access to a world of characters, events and the previously unknown, amazing world within a second. Everything, according to the hearts and minds of open-minded children.

The program, just like the entire festival, will highlight the diversity of musical theater genres, only the most beautiful and popular opera music will be played (Giuseppe Verdi's Herzog song, Giacomo Puccini's Callafa aria, Léo Delibes’ Flower duet, Georges Bizet, etc.), music of Franz Lehár, Imre Kalman and other operetta composers, zarzuelas, musicals and… May the heart rejoice!
For spectators who have bought a ticket to the Gala concert, participation in the Waltz evening after the concert at 22:00 is free of charge.
The elegant and fun most exciting waltzes and polkas of the Strauss dynasty will be played by the orchestra of the Operetta theater, creating a romantically elevated and special festive atmosphere and unforgettable feelings, enjoying a real Viennese dance tour under the open sky, on the stage, next to the orchestra, where the artists would have just performed! The duration of the dance tour is 1 hour.

Spectators who have purchased a ticket to the GALA concert have no additional charge for entry to the Waltz evening.
