On December 27, Xiaomi Arena will host the premiere of a spectacular ice show for the whole family, "Sapņu Zemes Burvis" (The Wizard of Dreamland), featuring brilliant and award-winning figure skaters from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. The authors and organizers of the production are the creators of the ice show "Īkstīte," which was performed with great success last year at Xiaomi Arena and in other European cities.
This heartwarming and light-hearted story, inspired by A. Volkov's popular work "The Wizard of the Emerald City", will be revealed in a new light: Dorothy and her faithful dog Toto, the charming Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, the mysterious fairies and, of course, the enigmatic Wizard will come to life on the ice. Together with these characters, viewers will embark on a fantastic journey through the Land of Dreams – a place where dreams come true.
"The Wizard of Dreamland" is a spectacular musical theater production created by a large creative team from Latvia: choreographers, artists, set designers, costume designers, composers, and lighting and special effects specialists. Every detail, from the decorations to the musical accompaniment, will create a magical atmosphere that will captivate both children and adults.
The ice show will feature 24 world-class figure skaters — participants in world and European championships, winners and laureates of various international competitions, as well as acrobats, aerialists and other artists from Latvia and the Baltic States.
