Purvītis Prize 2025
Candidates' exhibition
From 12 April to 8 June 2025, the NINTH Purvītis Prize exhibition will be on show in the main building of the Latvian National Museum of Art (Jaņa Rozentāla laukums 1, Riga).
The exhibition consists of a vivid collection of paintings, graphics, sculptures, objects and installations created by eight artists and artist collectives nominated by independent experts for the ninth Purvītis Prize for the most outstanding achievement in visual arts in 2023 and 2024 - Indriķis Ģelzis, Romāns Korovins, Ieva Kraule-Kūna, Inga Meldere and Luīze Nežberte, Luīze Rukšāne, Krišs Salmanis, Elza Sīle, Paula Zvane.
A total of 24 artists/artist groups were nominated for the final selection of the Purvītis Prize 2025, whose creative work has been recognised as a significant event in the Latvian visual art scene between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2024. The exhibition is curated by Daiga Rudzāte.
