Formed in 2010 as a solo project by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Wood, the KVB commenced their journey with limited cassette and vinyl releases, featuring notable works such as the single "The Black Sun" and the EP 'Into the Night.' In 2011, vocalist, keyboardist, and visual artist Kat Day joined Wood, leading to the release of their debut album, 'Always Then,' in 2012. On November 26, 2021, the band unveiled their sixth album, 'Unity,' infusing their shoegaze foundations with a blend of retro-futuristic synths and infectious, danceable rhythms.
The KVB's sound has been described as a combination of electronic, psychedelic, post-punk and shoegaze.
