On February 7th, from 21.00 to 05.00, the Art Academy of Latvia will transform into a pulsating hub of creativity, hosting its legendary annual Carnival. Organized by AAL students, this extraordinary night blends live music, immersive performances, and an atmosphere where artistic spirit knows no bounds.
Igor – The Eternal Artist
This year’s theme is inspired by the mythical figure of Igor – a legend within AAL, embodying the boundless energy, relentless inspiration, and profound love that fuels every artist. Igor is the heartbeat of creativity, a force that drives the artistic soul. We invite You to embrace Your muse, showcase Your creative passion, and revel in the uncontainable spirit of an artist!
A Lineup as Diverse as Art Itself
The Carnival will feature 17 live bands and five performance artists across six main music stages and three dynamic dance and performance spaces. Expect a melting pot of artistic expression, featuring both Latvian and
international acts.

The student stage will be a must-see, with performances by KoBra and the multi-talented Ciskudrāzējs. The lineup also boasts Elīza Daine, Evija Vēbere un Elīna Silova, Mattergy, Bel Tempo, Edavārdi, Alejas, Athodi Brīnumzemē, Inokentijs Mārpls, and many more.
2ANNAS Film Festival Returns
For the second consecutive year, the Riga International Film Festival 2ANNAS will bring a cinematic dimension to the Carnival, merging the worlds of film and visual art.
AAL Carnival Pre-Party – Warm Up with True Artistic Spirit
Week before the grand night, immerse yourself in the essence of an artist at the AAL Carnival Pre-Party on January 31st at 19.30 at The Benjamin House (Krišjāņa Barona street 12).
This evening of poetry readings, performances, and DJ sets will feature notable AAL personalities, offering a taste of the creative energy to come.
