The Italian Tenors Viva La Vita

After a successful run in 2023, The Italian Tenors return to Riga with a new programme of favourite Italian pop and Aryan hits

On 16 October, the Italian Tenors, the phenomenon of Italian opera, will perform at the ATTA CENTRE.

The Italian Tenors is a trio made up of some of Italy's most successful tenors Evan Tonon, Sabino Gaita and Luca Sala. In a grand concert programme, they combine famous Italian opera arias and pop songs with their classically choreographed voices and original arrangements. Their repertoire includes songs such as Lucio Dalla Caruso, The Love theme from The Godfather, Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, Time to Say Goodbye, Piccola e Fragile, Gloria and many more.

The Italian Tenors Concert highlights the charm of Italy and the power of the vocal performance. An evening with a live band of Italian musicians promises to be an incredible musical montage of vocal excitement and superb entertainment.

The musical group's new album will be released at the end of 2022 and will mark the trio's tenth year of worldwide activity. They expanded their repertoire to include famous songs from other countries, such as the Mexican song Besame Mucho; or Tonight by American composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein; or the famous Australian ballad Waltzing Matilda; or Sto Perigiali To Kryfo (Mysterious Sea Shore), a favourite of Greek composer Mikos Theodorakis. The Italian tenors will be accompanied on this journey by the five-piece Italian band Babaarum.

The trio consists of Italian singers Sabino Gaita, Luca Sala and Evan Tonon. Sabino is from southern Italy but moved to Milan at a young age to study music. He plays the saxophone, clarinet and piano and enjoys writing pop songs. When not touring with Italian tenors, Sabino collaborates with the Turin Opera House. Luca studied music in Milan, where he met Sabino at the local conservatory. In addition to singing, he plays the flute and writes songs for many famous Italian artists, including the song that won the 2012 Sanremo Festival, Italy's famous pop music festival. Evan studied music in London and Rome. Before joining The Italian Tenors, he played several leading roles in many Italian opera houses. Passionate about all performing arts, he is a professional actor and voice actor appearing in Italian films, TV series and shows.
