Tchaikovsky, Grieg and Rachmaninov

Although created in a blissfully peaceful atmosphere, as the composer himself remembers, Tchaikovsky's music portrays a storm of Shakespearean passion that was particularly close to the Russian romantic. He also excitedly spoke about Norwegian colleague Grieg, whose grand piano concert combines grandeur, sublime, melodic, simplicity and overflowing energy. But Rachmaninov, once again returning to the symphony genre, has set an example of absolute beauty on the tragic border of the 20th century. Such a rich dose of symphonic romanticism has been prepared by Rubik, who has already been immersed in the musical director of the Berlin Comic Opera, but has found time to give the Latvian audience a musical adventure as well.
