Soloists Ilze Grēvele-Skaraine and Rihards Millers, accompanied by pianist Ēriks Millers, present the chamber music programme Serenades of Romanticism.
The programme features love serenades from the Romantic era – both for piano and voice – rich with uplifting depictions of nature and magnificent musical harmonies. The audience will enjoy musical gems by composers Franz Schubert, Richard Strauss, Robert Schumann and Edvard Grieg, offering a glimpse into the evolution of German Romantic musical style, from its beginnings with Shubert’s works to its culmination in those of Strauss. The concert will also include piano music by Clara Schumann.
