Quatuor Ébène. Haydn, Bartok and Schubert

In Riga, we will hear the pastorally lucid Quartet by Joseph Haydn, in which some have heard birds chirping, the laconically tense and immediately after composition internationally award-winning Third by Béla Bartók and Franz Schubert's emotion-filled Last Quartet, written in just ten days around the same time as Ludwig van Beethoven composed his late, great quartets.
