The closing concert of Riga’s Summer Classics series pairs internationally celebrated repertoire with the exceptional acoustics of St. John’s Church, featuring Orchestra RIGA and leading Latvian concert organist Aigars Reinis in an evening of Baroque and Romantic masterpieces. Bringing together three composers, the programme traces a journey from Bach’s architectural mastery and intricate counterpoint to Schumann’s expressive lyricism and Schubert’s timeless Unfinished Symphony. Schumann’s Six Fugues on the Name B-A-C-H creates a striking dialogue between Baroque tradition and Romantic expression.
