N.I.C.E. NEW ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL

From December 6 to 8, in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Latvia and N.I.C.E. New Italian Cinema festival, the New Italian Film festival will take place in Latvia for the first time, giving the audience the opportunity to watch six films by young Italian directors. N.I.C.E. New Italian Cinema Festival was founded in 1991 on the initiative of cinema professionals. The aim of this festival is to promote new Italian cinema in the world by organizing festivals and international cultural exchanges. This is the main mission of this festival: to increase the circulation of the works of young directors, reflecting the impulses and trends of the new Italian cinema.

Festival visitors will have the opportunity to meet in person the director of the film "I Nostri Fantasmi" Alessandro Capitani, the director of the film "Santa Lucia" Marco Chiappetta, as well as the actor of the film "Gli Anni Belli" -Gianvincenzo Pugliese.

Tuesday, 6.12.
18:00 pm - "The Great Silence" (Il Silenzio Grande) by Alessandro Gassmann.
20:30 pm "Santa Lucia" (Santa Lucia) by Marco Chiappetta. After the screening Q&A with director Marco Chiappetta.

Wednesday, 7.12.
18:00 pm - "The Beautiful Years" (Gli Anni Belli) by Lorenzo D'Amico De Carvalho. After the screening Q&A with actor of the film - Gianvincenzo Pugliese.
20:30 pm - "Girl Returned" (L'Arminuta) by Giuseooe Bonito.

Thursday, 8.12.
18:00 pm - "Our Ghosts" (I Notri Fantasmi) by Alessandro Capitani. After the screening Q&A with the director Alessandro Capitani. 20:30 pm - "Blue Eyes" (Occhi Blu) by Michela Cescon.
