Funcoolio is a Latvian instrumental funk/fusion band, formed in 2007, in Riga. The name "FunCOOLio" is formed from two words "funk" (style name) and "Coolio"; - popular r-n-b performer of the 90ies. Band name and main idea is to combine the 70' funk music with modern electronic music elements, typically used by DJs and electronic music producers (scratch, loops, etc). The band composes their songs using the structure of electronic music as well as the unique Hammond organ sound.
