3 Solo Exhibitions at Noass
Photographers Gvido Kajons and Adelīna Darviņa, each representing their own generation grasps flashing moments of daily life, that can easily be lost in daily hurry. G. Kajons in his works captures the writings and signs of the city that are ingenious in theirs simplicity, word play or clarity, thus reviling an image of Riga, that opens up only for slow observers. A. Darviņa during her travel in USA has captured an American dream that already touches feeling of an outskirt of an "paradise" and mindless despair to reach something volatile and unreachable, while fighting time that is slowly erasing hopes, people and things.
Painter Ramuss is known as one of the first nonconformist artists of Latvia. His exhibition indicates, how, in a very short time, an opinion of freedom of artistic expression has changed in Latvia, leaving his paintings - forbidden in 80's, but a bit naïve and romantic from today's point of view.
