Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Xeno & Oaklander, composed of Liz Wendelbo and Sean McBride from Martial Canterel, are pioneers in the analog synth community since 2004. With their debut Vigils LP release on Xanten, they have played a crucial role in fostering the revival of synth wave and the ascent of dark wave, both in the US and worldwide.
Known for their exclusive use of analogue synthesizers, Xeno & Oaklander craft mesmerizing songs and film scores in their Brooklyn studio, which they temporarily relocated to Connecticut during the Covid era. Their performances span art institutions, music venues, and festivals across the globe, including prestigious venues like SF Moma, PS1 Warm Up, Miami Art Basel, Kunsthalle Zürich, and the New Museum NY.
