Some four millennia ago, Joseph paced the Egyptian sands, and many, many years later, at the early 1980s, Juris Karlsons went the same road, when Daile Theatre staged Rainis’s play Joseph and His Brothers. A few decades later on, the music of this production evolved into the Visions of Joseph – a piece full of faraway secrets and starry glow. In part two, you will hear – and see – The Fall of the House of Usher, an imposing and dunting horror story by Edgar Allan Poe, brought to monochrome light and shadow by French impressionist filmmaker Jean Epstein.
