The ensemble I Virtuosi del Teatro Alla Scala has been recently funded thanks to the Teatro Alla Scala orchestra solo parts’ that wished to share the musical experiences collected over the years. With the collaboration of the world greatest conductors this ensemble uses to show the highest possible artistic quality in performance.
The ensemble’s repertoire is wide and versatile. It includes the greatest works of Baroque as well as Mozart’s and eighteenth century composers’ chamber music, divertimenti, serenades, symphonies and concertos, eighteenth and nineteenth century Italian operas’ transcriptions and all twentieth and contemporary repertoire for chamber orchestra.

The ensemble has performed in the main Italian theatres and in festival such as the Festival di Torrechiara, which is dedicated to Renata Tebaldi, the Bologna Festival (closing concert of the festival) where they performed with soprano diva Barbara Frittoli, with whom the orchestra has recorded its first live CD, for SONY label.
